Healthy relationships across the network of Christian churches and charities in Sunderland are vital to fulfilling the aims of Connect Network. Effective communication, as in any relationship, is key, but, with over one hundred churches in the Sunderland area it is a huge challenge. That is why we are investing in building a communications team. 

 

The communications team are individuals within each Church who have been appointed by their Church leader; someone who has a passion to see Churches working together, positively impacting our city. They are our Connect Champions.

 

The role of the Connect Champion is to share information between Connect Network, their Church leader and their congregation members using whatever method is relevant for their Church.

As the key element of the Champion is communication, the Champion must also have the necessary communications skills to fulfill the role.
