WHAT WE DO
Sunderland Connect Network is encouraging collaboration between the churches, statutory agencies and voluntary groups for the benefit of the city and local communities.
Working across Sunderland we are facilitating networking groups, raising awareness of support already being delivered by the Christian community and linking otherwise disparate shared interest groups and individuals
We focus our efforts on areas where the church can contribute to the most pressing challenges facing Sunderland, our action areas.
We have seen that when the church and community come together it creates a relationship that produces real transformation.
These are our key activities:
Leaders Connect
Events for Christian Ministers and leaders from a variety of Christian traditions, denominations and organisations. We meet together for active learning, encouragement, practical support, energetic prayer and co-operative working.
Connect Conversations
A catalyst bringing together members of Christian churches, organisations, Sunderland City Council, schools within Sunderland and many other agencies to engage in a conversation about key issues.
Connect Sundays
Connect Network will work with churches to identify one Sunday that they are willing to give over to the Network. We will invite a small number of partner organisations to each participate on a Connect Sunday.
