AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING SUNDERLAND CONNECT NETWORK
After a decade of dedicated service to Churches and Christian organisations in Sunderland, the Trustees of Sunderland Connect Network have made the difficult decision to cease its charitable activities with effect from 30th April 2025.
Throughout our journey, we have sown many seeds - bringing hope and offering support within the church and local communities and we trust that the fruit of this work will continue to flourish beyond our time. We are deeply thankful to God for all that has been accomplished in the lives of local people and how the churches in our city have been uplifted. However, a decline in engagement from the network's partners, along with the resignation of our founder and Director, has led us to conclude that it’s now time to step back from our role in the city.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all individuals, churches, and organisations who have supported Connect’s mission, especially our generous donors and funders. Your commitment and dedication over the past ten years has been invaluable.
Shortly after 30th April, our social media channels and website will be closed and we will start the deregistration process with the Charity Commission. In accordance with our Constitution, any remaining funds at closure will be donated to a Christian charity in Sunderland with similar objectives, ensuring that the legacy of our work continues to impact the local community positively.
